1586.                     Update from Lincolnshire County Council

Cllr Matthews gave an update from Lincolnshire County Council – Sandy Bank Road has now been completed and is a much better road. The drainage work at New York has now also been completed. Conversations have taken place about the need for a roundabout at Gibbet Nook. The need for one will be much greater once the new houses have been built.

Talks have taken place regarding the County’s budget. The changes to local government are set to take place in the coming months. Whilst there will be no District Councils, Parish Councils will be used to support the main body. This is being forced on the Council by Government and is not something County and District want to happen.
